Description: This cemetery is located in west central Teton county in the foothills of the Big Hole Mountains. It serves the rural area known as Bates, which doesn't really have any "town" but just a scattered set of farms and houses on the west side of the Teton River. The cemetery has a beautiful view of both the valley and the mountains that surround it. There is a sign that identifies Bates Cemetery, which is is fenced and well kept.
